We get through winter up here in Minnesota with this coat. The fabric is absolutely epic: waterproof, windproof, soft, stretchy, quiet, cozy, breathable and nontoxic. The long ear-covering collar fends of chilling drafts. The WinterPaw has an opening for the collar at the bottom of the neck, and an opening for harnesses on the back. The practically magic magnetic SwiftLock buckle is easy on-and-off, even with mittens on! The reflective trim keeps us out on even the longest winter nights.

The WINTERPAW is thoughtfully designed! Easy to put on (no lifting of legs to push through a sleeve) and the magnetic buckle… ingenious! Winter has come early and strong here, and we’ve used it daily. Over a signature suit when the temp is in the teens, or alone when it is a tad warmer. The neck is long enough to cover their ears as well. I am thoroughly impressed! Our vet staff wrote down the Goldpaw name when they saw WINTERPAW in action at our recent appointment.

Nice Coat -too long
This coat fits my dog perfectly in every way except the length. I flops off her butt so far, it looks like she's wearing a cape. For reference my dog is a 30lb terrier mix, proportioned like a small sporting dog (longer neck, deep chest, legs only slightly shorter than her back is long).

My dog usually wears a 12 in the Gold Paw original Stretch Fleece and he wears a 12 in this as well. The outer lining is very nice and not bulky or stiff and the inner lining is warm and soft. It is not bulky which is good for my dog. I also like the long neck on the coat that covers his ears if I pull it up which I like. The other reason I tried this is the clip around the body of the coat to keep it in place. My dog does not like when I pull the Velcro on his old coat so this was a perfect alternative. I also like that the color blue is more navy and not as bright blue as the picture on the website. I love everything I’ve ordered from Gold Paw Series for my dogs.

This is the perfect warm up jacket for walking to the dog park. It goes over the harness and comes off easily so my dog can be let loose to play with her friends without taking her harness off.
