We get through winter up here in Minnesota with this coat. The fabric is absolutely epic: waterproof, windproof, soft, stretchy, quiet, cozy, breathable and nontoxic. The long ear-covering collar fends of chilling drafts. The WinterPaw has an opening for the collar at the bottom of the neck, and an opening for harnesses on the back. The practically magic magnetic SwiftLock buckle is easy on-and-off, even with mittens on! The reflective trim keeps us out on even the longest winter nights.

Coat shuts out the shivers in subzero temps!’
I have a 65lb pit mix size 22. I measured her and her measurements matched the size. She is a hard to fit and find a coat my dog will move in. For example We tried the heurtta jacket and all she did was roll around in discomfort. My two favorite things is the full wrap with a magnetic clip, rather than a plastic clip. Also it has two openings for your harnesses (at neck and upper back). The fleece lining in contrasting red is luxe and importantly doesn’t aggravate my dog. We are wearing this coat in 7 degree temps and no shivering dog.

Game changer
Our chi-mix in NYC needed something warm and waterproof. I had got him a Goldpaw stretch fleece in size 10 (recommended at a store, and it works) but it is a wee snug and not warm enough for very cold temps. I got the Winterpaw in 12 online and it is a wee long, but otherwise perfect. Love the magnetic clasp, the neck "snood" that can cover his ears. He does not shiver like he did before when it is ~35F. With layers (e.g., fleece), he does well sub 30.
