UV BLOCKING - a UPF-50 rating that blocks 98% of the sun’s harmful UV rays. It is not a chemical treatment - it's a mechanical quality of the yarn so the protection won't diminish with washing.
REDUCE HEAT ABSORPTION - our darker colored dogs really benefit from the heat reflective shade this material provide! We tested our black Lab, Luke, out in the sun with an infrared thermometer gun and found his fur was more than 40 degrees cooler under the Tee than without!

Purchased this item for our little rescue dog. She is a Wheaton Carine terrier mix with a single coat. We live at 9500' and she gets sunburned in the summer. I think this will work out great!
