Portland Pullover

I’ve had a Portland pullover for over 5 years that my dog absolutely loves. It’s a great product for the Pacific Northwest weather, is still in great shape, and waterproof after years of use and washing. I highly recommend this for wet weather climates.

Great pullover for mildly cold/drizzly weather (hello, PNW winter!) – be aware it’s probably not quite enough warmth or rain coverage for truly wet or cold weather, but a great mid-weight option and if sized slim, light enough to layer over with another jacket if you want. Haven’t washed it yet, but expect it’ll hold up similarly to the fleece pullover that’s been going strong for a few years now! The only improvements I’d like to see are a little reflective piping somewhere and at least an option for harness access.

We live in the PNW and needed some weather protection for our two picky pups. These are almost perfect in that they are pullovers and therefore have no buckles, velcro, or snaps. They are easy to pull on and off and offer excellent coverage without being bulky. We do wish the waterproof fabric covered more, especially the underside. Our one dog is small and therefore lower to the ground. We find we have to hand wash the belly section as it frequently gets dirty. Also, if you live in a windy area, these will tend to fly up as they are a bit too roomy towards the hip area for slender pups. Overall though, this was the best option we could find, and the pullovers keep them dry better than without them!

These pullovers are fantastic. The fleecy portion seems to be as stretchy as the stretch fleece and the waterproof section is backed with soft fleece as well. I just think it’s such a smart concept – it covers the chest for additional warmth unlike many adjustable jackets and doesn’t restrict movement at all. I think we’ll get a ton of use out of it. I hope you offer more color combos in the future!
